Based on current trends in key health indicators, including the provincial vaccination rate, LTVCA conservation areas and campgrounds will enter Step 3 of the Ontario roadmap Friday July 16th, 2021.
Once the date of Step 3 of Ontario's Reopening has started, more outdoor activities will resume with smaller, well managed crowds where risk of transmission is minimized. For the LTVCA's conservation areas and campgrounds this will mean: Outdoor gatherings of up to 100 people will be permitted, campgrounds will open to overnight transient camping and public washrooms in our day use areas will open.
The LTVCA will continue to monitor changes and provide updates as the province works to best protect us during the COVID-19 pandemic. We appreciate your patience and hope we all will soon be able to enjoy the full benefits of what nature provides. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and look forward to being able to allow camping once again given the directive by the province. Updates and information on impact to the LTVCA programs and services can be viewed on each conservation area webpage on our website at www.ltvca.ca. The health, safety and well-being of our staff, volunteers and the community remains our highest priority.
